Values from Enri De Luca

VALUES

I consider it of value every form of life, the snow, a strawberry, a fly.
I consider it of value the mineral kingdom, and the harmonious whole of stars in the sky.
I consider it of value the wine, during the meal, an involuntary smile hovering the lips, the tiredness of people who do not spare themselves, two old people loving each other.
I consider it of value anything is going to be worthless in future, or anything is still of little value now.
I consider it of value all wounds.
I consider it of value water conservation, repairing a pair of shoes, holding one’s tongue in time, rushing to the help of someone crying, asking permission to sit down, feeling sincerely grateful without even remembering the reason.
I consider it of value knowing where is the north side of a room, or the name the wind sweeping the washing.
I consider it of value a vagabond’s wandering, a nun’s seclusion, the powers of endurance of a prisoner sentenced to death without even considering his crime.
I consider it of value the use of the verb “to love”, and the hypothesis of the existence of a creator.
I have never known many of these values.
